Initially dedicated to real high speed trains, the ETR class is now used for more low range EMU, like the Jazz or the ETR 563, see the "Latest generation EMU" page.
ETR 460 and 463
Second generation of tilting FIAT EMU, with a Giugiaro design and a more compact tilting technology. 10 9 cars trains. Therr of them were modified as P (polytension) trains, able to 1500V for the Lyon - Turin trains. Trainset 29 was destroyed in a crash.
3 KV trainsets : 22 to 26, 29 and 30.
P trainsets : 21P, 27P and 28P. They were renumbered ETR 463 in 2006.

Pendular EMU, formerly Cisalpino. 5 of the 9 trains went to the FS. Initially still in Cisalpino livery, they were later repainted in the Frecciabianca livery, one of the new "Freccia" liveries of italian high speed trains since 2011 which replaced the short lived Eurostar City Italia.
