5 special "628.4" DMU were specially built 1995 with 2 power cars for the Mainz - Alzey line. The first power car, similar to a 628.4, is numbered 628.9. The second powwer car, with both classes and no toilets, is numbered 629. A sixth unit was later constituated with former 628.4 cars.
